Poor Teyton is getting both of his top teeth at once. He is not happy at all. I feel so bad for him. The same thing happened when he got his bottom teeth. But I have found that he loves to chew on otter pops to sooth his soreness. I hate seing him this miserable, especially when there isn't much I can do.:( I had to take a picture because he is still so cute even when he is crying.

milk and babies

Kayla has been watching me so closely with Teyton and is trying to mimic everything I do with him and too him. I found a cute little doll sling so she can carry her baby "Dobop" the same way I do. I also caught her feeding Dobop while I was giving cereal to Teyton. She is such a cuttie. I wish that I got a picture of this but I looked out the window and saw Mckayla and three of her friends pushing their baby dolls in strollers around our street. It was so cute it looked like a miniature mommy group.
Teyton on the other hand has been trying to copy his big sister. Everything she has he wants. And in this case with the milk he got it. I've had to go back to sippy cups with Kayla because she keeps putting her cup on the coffee table and Teyton is as quick as lightning when he wants something.

a day with daddy

the flu

We have all been so sick the past week and a half. Luckily it wasn't all at once. We all took our turn at being sick. I started it out and lasted the longest, then Corey luckily on a day off got it and then finally Kayla. This is the first time this has happened to us so close together, and I hope it doesn't happen again. It was not fun. I was relieved that Teyton missed out on the sickness. Kayla was so cute though, she kept telling me that she needed to go to the doctor to make her feel better. We did end up going to the doctor after she was well to get tested for TB, something we all had to do when we moved here. And after her shot she said that she didn't want to go to the doctor again. Needless to say she was not happy to hear that we did have to go back after 48 hrs for them to check for the results. We got her a pretty little bead ring for her being such a trooper though.

This is the face we have come to fear at our house. He may look harmless but it is all an act. Teyton has been on a biting streak, and he has chosen a favorite area of contact on each of us. On Corey he likes to bite his ear, for me it is the shoulder and poor Kayla gets it on her hair. It is hard to tell when he will strike because he will snuggle up to us and sometimes it truly is a snuggle and the others we get a sharp surprise. We love him anyway, teeth and all!

happy fathers day

It is so hard for me to surprise Corey with any present because he always discovers it before he is suppose to. Either by accident or my carelessness. I got him a body board for Fathers Day, he has wanted one since he found out where we were being stationed. I was going to hide it in our laundry room. There are boxes piled up because it is being used as a temporary storage area, but Corey has been going in there often to try and locate odds and ends, as he is getting ready to deploy. So I figured that was off. And outside in the shed was off because there are huge spiders here, I avoid those dark places they like to live in. I didn't think it would be nice to tell him to get his own present out of the shed on Father's Day. Well, Corey loaded up the van with a bunch of his gear awhile back that he hadn't touched forever so I thought that I would just stick it underneath everything for a week because he keeps putting off organizing his mess. Well the day after I put it there I was getting ready and Corey told me he was going to clean out the van. My first reaction was, it's about time finally I have my van back. Then I remembered what I was hiding. By the time I got to him it was too late. Oh well I have my whole life to get it right. I'm just glad that he liked it. He couldn't wait to use it so we went out that day and he had so much fun. I love you Corey, thanks for being patient with me.

here comes trouble!

Teyton has discovered the fun of climbing the stairs. He is such a fast learner and actually got about half way up the staircase before he got extra daring and tried going down. One milestone at a time little man, your growing up too quickly for your mama! He is even trying to walk with holding onto just one of my hands. If I try to hold the other one he just knocks it away. But he hasn't quite got the balance thing down yet, it won't be long though!

a peacock?

So we were driving up the parking lot by Waimea Valley just to check out the scenery after a day at the beach and as we were pulling in I had to do a double take. There was the most beautiful peacock just wandering around the cars. I guess he wanted to tour the valley also. Kayla was so excited, I had to keep her from rushing towards it too quickly. I got a few good pictures of them before it looked like the peacock was gong to charge at her, she was really getting close. But she is my little dare devil and loved every minute of it. Teyton did too, although he is to young to know what was going on. I think he just enjoyed seeing his big sissy running and giggling around the parking lot.

my girls

I finally got a picture with Kayla and a few of her friends she likes to play with. Meet Kaylin, Kayla, Kaitlyn, and Kaylie. It gets so confusing but they have so much fun together! These are my girls.

love's his mommy

Teyton is such a mama's boy. He just isn't happy unless I am in his eye sight, if he could I'm sure he would meld his body in mine. I was finally able to go and have some me time since the move. I didn't really like to go out on my own before because I have no sense of direction and if you take one wrong turn around here you are lost. Thank goodness for GPS, after we got one I decided to venture out on my own. Teyton was not happy! It didn't matter what Corey did, when I came home he had the biggest smile on his face, it is nice to be loved so much.

special treat

Kayla loves to help me make breakfast. She is a natural chef and is an expert at Micky Mouse pancakes, cheesy eggs, cinnamon french toast sticks (all with help of course), and now monkey bread. She rolled most of these herself after just showing her once. As you can see she gets really down and dirty which is why she isn't dressed. We have so much fun, it is nice to have the one on one time with her.

silly faces

Kayla and Teyton are such wild children. They have so much fun together and are always making each other laugh. McKayla has always loved making silly faces to the camera and it looks like Teyton will be the same. I always get comments about how silly and fun these two are. I love them so much!
