catching up on dec. happenings

This month has been a whirlwind! It just has seemed to have gone by so quickly. So here is what's happened so far in a nut shell.

Corey got promoted to Sergent!!!! I am so incredibly happy and even more so, proud of him and his accomplishments and dedication to his career no matter how crazy it can be at times. After the ceremony we went to the Pearlridge Mall and let the kids go on the Christmas train and then we had a celebration dinner at Farrell's.

Teyton has just been being the cute little boy that he always is. He has been acting like a dog a lot lately. In the morning he will set his cereal bowl down by the dogs bowls and eat breakfast right beside them on his hands and knees haha. I didn't get a pic of that because Koa is SO scared of cameras it is ridiculous! I didn't want him to freak out and trample poor Teyton.

Kayla has just been loving life and loving playing with all of her friends. They are so much fun to watch. I love that all the kids come to play at our house. They all say and do the funniest things. I am really going to miss them. Good thing Kayla is such a social butterfly like her Daddy. It won't be long after the move before she has a whole new group of cute kids coming over to play.

We got together as a family and did our traditional Gingerbread House making. It was so much fun. The kids were so hyped up on sugar afterward. I get a kick out of them when they get super hyper. I think Corey did a better job than I did helping Teyton out with his house {just don't tell him I said so ;)}. We also had a few mornings where it was actually pretty chilly outside so the kids and I made some yummy hot cocoa topped with whipped cream.

I've been busy with lots of little projects. I have been LOVING this new site that my friend told me about {www.fabric.com}. I wish I had known about it sooner! I really haven't done too much sewing because there aren't any good fabric stores that are ridiculously expensive or filled with Hawaiian print things, which is nice but I do like to have a variety. I've kind have gone a little crazy with it, but have had oh so much fun! I'm also working on a warm quilt for Kayla right now, I'll post pics when it is closer to being finished.

Corey has been super busy with his new job as a NCO. He has been working so many long shifts this month. But he still manages to come home and have fun playing with the kids and is always ready to make us all smile and laugh. I love him so much!

We had so much fun at our Ward Chistmas Party. The decorations were just beautiful! Kayla was so excited to see Santa this year. She wrote him a special letter and drew him a picture to give to him at the party. Teyton on the other hand only got close enough to get the little presents he was giving all the kids. He refused to sit on his lap.
