baby blessing, family photos, and thanksgiving

I am so happy my doctor cleared me to travel!  I really wanted to spend Thanksgiving with our families, and get to meet Priya and be there for her blessing.  I completely forgot to take pictures while we were at the Abbott's though, I always seem to forget to take pictures when there are a lot of people around.  Oh well, one day I will get it right.

Priya's baby blessing was just beautiful!  I think Chris did an amazing job with the blessing, it was absolutely perfect.  She is such a little doll!  It is so fun to watch Adi with her new little sister.  You can just tell by the look in her eyes that she just adores her.

Today was sort of a whirlwind.  Right after the blessing we headed home to get everyone ready for family pictures.  It is a rare event when all of the Bastian's are in the same place at the same time.  So we had to take pictures!  The last real family photo {with everyone present} that we have had was at my wedding.  So I'd say we were a bit overdue, haha!  After the family pictures were over and done with, we finished up with the Thanksgiving meal prep, and just relaxed and enjoyed each others company.

surf n swim with grandma abbott

Before heading to Utah, Corey and I realized that we had never taken our kids to Surf N Swim!  There is no way that our kids could go through their childhood without experiencing the awesomeness that is Surf N Swim's waves!  When we got to the pool and told the kids, when they hear sirens that means the waves will start, they we a little unsure.  I think after Hawaii the idea of waves still makes them a little uneasy {which makes me so sad!  I loved playing in the waves while we lived in Hawaii}.  The whole experience was a huge hit!  The kids had a blast jumping, swimming, lounging in tubes.  Corey on the other hand kept getting the whistle blown at him, haha.  One of the many reasons that I love him is that he loves to have fun, and doesn't care how he looks doing it. I was sad that none of the other Abbott's could come along, but we sure had a good time with Grandma Abbott!

meeting priya

I have to admit, I was dying a little inside everyday having to wait almost 2 months to meet my newest Niece!  She was definitely worth the wait though.  I could just eat her right up!  Kayla and Teyton are absolutely in love with her too.  I have to be honest, seeing Teyton hold Priya for the first time was a little terrifying.  He was just so excited, I don't think he quite understood how fragile babies are.  Then again, I remember the first time Kayla held Teyton. It was during pictures, she just lunged right in towards him, haha.  Kids are so funny.  He sure does love his little cousin and is actually very sweet with her.

sleepover and some demolition

We made it to Utah!  It may have taken forever with all of the stops that we had to make along the way, but we are here and I am so happy!  Before going to Orem we decided to spend the first night at Jace and Andrews new home.  It is so beautiful, and I am loving all of the changes they are doing to make it their own!  In the morning after breakfast, Corey found out that they were going to be knocking down some walls.  He couldn't miss out on an opportunity like that, so we spent the morning and early afternoon helping out...well, not me, but everyone else.  I don't know how it is even possible, but my kids are even more adorable with goggles, gloves, and a sledge hammer in their hands, haha.  I am one lucky Momma!

3rd grade music program

McKayla has been so excited for this music program.  All of the 3rd graders at King Elementary did a short School House Rock musical.  Kayla even had a couple of lines!  I love watching her light up as she performs.  She definitely got the drama gene from her Daddy, I was much too shy at her age to do something like that.

baby bump & a ball

My belly just keeps on growing, which is a really good sign!  I am needing little Ryker to grow as much as he can so he can be nice and strong when my body decides it is time to kick him out of my tummy.

Corey got us some tickets to the Military Ball.  I always enjoy an excuse to get all dressed up and have a good time.  Hopefully one of these days we will actually be able to stay and dance!  I just happy that I had a stretchy ball gown that I was able to squeeze my belly into.  I wish that I had a nicer picture of the two of us at this event.  By the time I remembered, I was exhausted, sore, and by looking at the picture, obviously a hot mess, haha!  At least I am not the only one looking shabby.  I tease Corey all the time during Movember. {his mustache would look much better if it weren't for the Army regulations, I still don't like mustache's though Corey so don't get any ideas!}
